Even in hardcore yaoi, there are a lot of gems out there, it's just that you wouldn’t know until you give it a read cause some of the worst manga/webtoons I've read were 9+ rating so you can't really depend on that. And once in a while you can't help but stumble on poor plots like this one. So we can't really judge the whole yaoi world just by some shitty ones. There are a lot of decent stories out there.
