Umm no the author never said that! When asked if sangwoo ever loved bum, she told the readers that we would find out if we read the final chapter.. So I think sangwoo did love bum because at his final moments sangwoo was calling for bum

Well I think they fulfilled their promise to each other at the ending. Cause when they were talking about death Sangwoon said if he dies first, Bum should try to die as well, either it was hanging himself or etc. Yeahhh, until the end they had each other. I like the story very much, well done.
