Not all I'm not a hair stylist but I try.. by taking tips and stuff... the maid is holding it that way so it will easier for her to comb her hair inwards by putting the hair on top instead of just passing it through like regular people causing less damage to the hair .... (or so I've learn)
Not as much as the cover of my mother's cook book bothers me. The lady in the picture is holding the kitchen knife as if she's about to stab someone to death.
