I’ve been a yaoi fan for some time now and find it interesting because it’s a turn on and I like the romance aspect (I dislike a lot of yaoi tropes tho). I’ve noticed that even lesbians are interested in this genre and I’m curious to know why. I thought yaoi would be a turn off for them since they’re strictly interested in women. Also cuz Ive never seen gay men that were interested in yuri. Ppl have different opinions though.
The answer is as simple as just because they want to and lots of gay men including me read yuri you just don’t see because you’re on a site with straight fetishizers anyone in gay circle that reads manga has read and likes yuri
Not everyone reading yaoi/yuri are reading it to receive a sexual response from the content. Someone's sexuality doesn't restrict them from enjoying content for entertainment lmao. This is like asking why a gay guy would go see a movie about lesbians.

True, ppl can read it for entertainment purposes, it’s just that (most) yaoi seems to be based on the sexual factor ┗( T﹏T )┛
