Not really, a ton of female dogs also lift one of their back legs to pee, is not uncommon at all. And I've seen male dogs pee sitting down, mostly the ones that have been neutered or that grew up around only female dogs

I know, two of my dogs also lift one of their hind legs when they pee, but it's a kind of awkward one-legged squat instead of a full leg lifting as Pommette did.

is he an adult dog? is he castrated? if so when was he castrated?

another one of my dogs is male and he was castrated when he was 8 months, he's 15 months now (if I recall correctly) and he still pees sitting down but he's pretty much an overgrown puppy.

anyway, I still haven't seen or heard of a female dog that lifts their leg to pee as Pommete did, maybe it's not that weird I don't know.

exactly it depends on how they grew up mostly. male dogs that only have sisters and mom will probably grow up peeing sitting down(or are simply most attached to them). Same happens the other way around.
almost all my life i had Male dogs. and when we got a female one. (she was a baby). she grew up learning from them so she raises her leg most of the time. of course that habbit might dissapear as they grow up because they end up seeing other dogs on the street and learning the 'right way' from them(or the 'wrong way' xD).it really isnt rare. u might not notice because mostly people dont know which genre is a dog on the street. we just assume their genre ╮(￣▽￣)╭...
Just like most people assume my Female dog (shes all black and big so she looks a bit intimidating) is a male. shes already 5 years so we have lost the patience to correct it and just laugh.

but this might happen with a castrated or not dog. it doesnt really make a difference. they go with what they like most (⌒▽⌒)

It’s pronounced new-tered. I took Spanish in high school but that was ages ago lol. I figured you didn’t understand which is why I said something. When you use the word castrate, it’s very harsh and has a very negative and violent meaning.

Where I live is a common term, "Castrar" even though the procedure is not exactly a castration (thank god) but the appropriate word would be "esterilizar".

I will say this, your English is very good. Don’t get too frustrated though when you mess up. I know what it’s like...English is my native language and I know German from when I lived there. Sometimes I forget the word in English and use the German word instead. When I came back to the States, it was really frustrating. People didn’t understand what I was saying half the time. Now it’s not so bad but every I be in a while I will slip up. Hehe.

yeah... also very unnecessary and traumatic for the poor little guy, I mean Han doesn't like the vet anymore if we had done that to him I bet he wouldn't even like me.

Thanks, I know what you mean, sometimes there are words or expressions in the other language that doesn't exist in your mother language, or it just pops up first in your brain in your second language and you struggle to find the right translation for it or there are words that sound similar but mean something completely different, those are the worst!
