Yes, that's what I heard too. It was such a relief to know that the white haired guy didn't end up with Athy. But my problem is that Jennette stills ends up sisterly with Athy. That's fucked up.

Again i don't understand how people despises Jennette so much ? She's being used by people and is incredibly naive but people make it as if she was the one scheming everything and is the main villain ?? She's not

Well, she isn't but she's still culpable for being so naive. Accepting help from someone who suddenly talked to her? Even more, she actually gave it to someone she knows is in an important position. They're part of the Nobility. What's more, they have magic. Being at their age and position, I think that she should have been more aware of their sociopolitical climate. She willingly gave that trinket to Athy. She's still accessory to the crime done to Athy and the King, albeit with the latter she probably didn't know much of the plan. And before you say that "she didn't know that they'd do that to the King." Think again. Remember the flashback Athy got? What did the black haired dude do? What was her response?Exactly. She knows enough of it to be culpable all the same. I don't exactly hate her, but I think she should be punished for being a part of something she shouldn't have been in the first place. And and and it's fucked up but she's born from/through Dark magic. I'm inclined to not trust her at all.

You mean that jennette gets acknowledged by the king? And gets to live with them? Like a family of three?? If thats how it ends, i mean, its not satisfying at all, i know jennette means no harm but, shes cursed? Oh, totally. I don't know if it'll be different with this one, but I do feel the same regarding Jennette being accepted into their family. I mean, it's kinda wrong to dislike her but I still do.

I don't hate Jenette but I kinda get why people hate her, though everyone seems to have forgiven Claude? who I think is far worse than her. I mean come on, he was a jerk who killed people on whim, Jenette is just a child who is annoyingly naive.
I think the problem is about their developpement. Claude changes, his character has evolved ( ... well, not anymore since he forgot Athy ... But you know what I mean ) and I fear that Jenette won't change. She'll stay the "sweet and naive" girl she is. And I wouldn't like that, she needs to stop being oblivious of the stuation she is in, so that she won't be manipulated easily and won't be the cause of anyone else misery. I don't want her to be accepted that easily in the family without a proper developpement in her character. She needs to at least realise her mistakes and try doing something useful to help Athy.
To be fair, it was also wrong of the white haired guy's family to shaltered her like that.

In conclusion, I don't hate Jenette and hope for her growth, I dislike Claude and white haired guy far more ( both of them could die I wouldn't care honestly ). And I am happy to learn that Athy will end up with Lucas. I wasn't up for it at first because with the years gap it was creepy, but he genuinely was her friend for years, therefore their interactions felt very natural ... aand the white haired guy creeped me out.

yeah same, it's really sad if it ends like that, i really really hope the manhwa takes a turn and makes a better ending, thought i doubt it will happen, but if it did, it would be fantastic

People has stopped hating on Claude because he didn't purposely forgot about Athy. It has been revealed that the not-so-dead brother of Claude and white dog guy has been steadily using black magic? on him to I think make him forget about Athy? and kill him slowly. Even in the original novel (the one that was mentioned in-book), that was what they did to Claude. That's the reason he treated Athy badly. It's not as potent this timeline around because Athy got close to Claude, and consequently brought Lucas into their service. And Lucas has been protecting Athy from the black magic? Over the years. Maybe not Claude so much as Lucas didn't get to see him as often as he did Athy. So, that's the reason why, in my opinion at least, people has stopped hating Claude. But I agree with hating white dog guy. He's a class act asshole.

From what I know there can be changes made in the webtoon as opposed to the light novel, though the original author must consent to that first so cross your fingers. In any case, Lucas ends up with Athy (they said) so I would frankly give no damn about Jenette being there if it means my ship sails. I'd be so happy I'd forget she's even there.
