Something that I don't understand: people keep saying they love this season and season 1 was very fucked up, but isn't this as messed up? Just look at Dahye and it's enough. Also, I liked the old art better

Wait, do people actually say that? Cause both seasons are fucked up, just in a different way (which makes sense, after all characters grow and develop, just like the plot of a story). Tho one think I'll say is that you can still enjoy this webtoon, while knowing how messed up it is and how unhealthy these characters are for each other, cause it's not like author is glamorising it. Personally, I draw the line where people start to say that these characters are cute together, or "waifu" comments start to appear :p

idk about everybody else but i actually thought that in WAHNW there would be more "yuri" per say. i was genuinely a little bummed out when there wasn't, regardless of how fucked up it all was. so i begrudgingly finished it bc i was pretty deep in once i realized that it really wasn't a "yuri"story.

this on the other hand, "yuri" or at least queer female sex is integral to it's makeup. even though it may be unhealthy, it's still really enticing to me as a reader of yuri manga/manhwa and as someone who knows the story. so regardless of the abuse and it still being fucked up, which we all know is important to this story, i really really like the way this manhwa is turning out bc it's upending all my expectations for how the original story turned out

yeah, first story was more about bullying and abuse with an addition of yuri, but even then this yuri elements just mostly seemed like another way of executing abuse - with Yeonhwa assaulting Dahye, or this one girl being unhealthy obsessed and dependent on Yeonhwa. Of course, WAHNR seems to go in a similar direction, but just like you said, this time these yuri elements are more integral to the story

Also, personally I think I may enjoy this season more than the previous one, without even taking into account its yuri aspects. This manhwa is definitely turning out in an intriguing way, development of relationship between two protagonists will be really interesting and even these characters on their own just seem to be growing smoothly, from what we saw in WAHNW. And with the growth of their messed up relationship, it just feels like we get to know new layers of personalities of these two protagonists, by exploring their internal conflicts that we didn't really saw in a previous story

Right? Like "oh, Dahye x yeonhwa, my otp" , when, as you said, their relationship is toxic
