I don't say that their is a deeper meaning in it, but a philologicla analysis might go in this direction.
Cause the author like there semes assholeish, so when something bad happens everyone is happy. (but that never happens..does it? I don't know I tend to avoid asshole semes)

Nearly ever yaoi used to be like that. I'm glad there's some diversity in works nowadays. I can recommend a few stories with no rapist/bully/stalker semes if you want.
