For all his past misconceptions, Yohan is the most rational voice here lol the other two hyungs overthink so damn much. Moogyoung is your classic pessimist, and well Yohan’s older brother has fallen into the “fuck, I fucked my younger sibling up!”
I know I’m guilty of it too lol I introduced my younger sister to manga years ago, and she found out I read BL and well, she became a fujoshi. The problem lies in the fact that I was so much more discreet with it, and didn’t fan over a lot. She, on the other hand, gets caught with wallpapers, yaoi amv’s, and fans over them out loud to me even when I beg her to shut up. She knows no shame and frankly, I feel like I fucked her up. There’s nothing bad with yaoi itself, but if she can’t read the atmosphere or gauge the reaction of people around her, I screwed her with the chance that her obnoxious fangirling might get her ostracized. Especially when she can’t differentiate fact from fiction, exaggerated fetish and reality. Not to mention, I’m bi and suffered at lot with my coming out because of my parents. As much as I want to encourage her to be her own person, I don’t want to be responsible for planting the seed of something that might not have come to be or cause her suffering if it wasn’t for me.
So yeah, Yohan is right to say his hyung influenced him to some extent with the idea that love isn’t bound by gender, but obviously, seeing his hyung with a guy didn’t like flick a gay switch by accident lol He likes Moogyoung for Moogyoung. So I’d like to think that whatever trouble or interests my little sister waltzes into, isn’t my fault :D
