In this chapter I got the vibe that something happpened with him and the straight friend, idk. But yeah I also think he likes the straight friend and he’s just pushing his feelings onto Mikami.

Is Akari in love with Sato? is the only reason I found that justifies his behaviour, or maybe he's in love with their straight friend and since Sato is "straight" he's doing what is best for him, because that's what he would do if he were in his shoes (??? I don't know really haha
