I think because the ml is still the same as ever which is as a self center bitch, makes no happy ending in the end, the failure of growth even after going through all that shits will bring the same shit all over her life again bc she is still what she were.. i genuinely thought she will be a better person at the end, but nah she sill trash..(╯°Д °)╯╧╧
I truly pity damon and kiwoong bc they are as innocent as it can be in this manhwa
Btw i really like how the author draws and expresses complex emotion in every character, it feels like having their mind, from the ml to the villian, its truly beautiful

And I agree with you - I also had a bit of hope in her and her change, but she stayed the same... In a way, I like it because it makes the whole manga veru raw, realistic and, ultimately, a good read; but, at the same time, I really dislike the protagonist for the same reasons. ┗( T﹏T )┛

Although I do agree that the ex is a manipulative piece of shit and that the friend became (unhealthily..) obsessed with Kiwoong (and, indeed, they did fucked up), I disliked the MC the most..
Besides continuing her life as if nothing has happened (which could potentially be seen as a coping mechanism) and being a spoiled, self-absorbed and utterly uncaring person, giving off the vibe that she never actually cared about Kiwoong or loved him, and using Damon to fulfill her sick ambitions (+ ending up with him which makes the whole story even more ridiculous and Kiwoong's love for her futile), I hate how she got her "Happily Ever After".
