i dont get why a normal guys is such a bad thing. Sure he isnt a jerk or an emotional wreck like how some leads are, but does that mean they dont deserve to have or gain the attention of a prettier person? Toxicity in leads isnt all pretty and hot, If men are as nice as Matthew that respected blossom despite him having not so clean thoughts at her at first he still respected her and should all men.
The best thing that I can say about this story is that it's only 34 chapters long and didn't get dragged out for a hundred chapters or more. Although it's been a long time since I read this, so I can't remember everything about it (and, no, it's not worth reading a second time just to refresh my memory), what I do remember is being super annoyed at Matthew because not once did he ever as Blossom "WHY?" she wanted to stay at his place. She used him and he just let her like the wimp he was. There are plenty of nice male leads in webtoons, but not all of them allow the female lead walk all over them like a doormat.
He wasnt a doormat. And sure he wasn't the nosy type that kept pushing blossom to talk about things she didnt want to talk about, and he knew she had reason he just chose not to push it, which is him respecting her decision to not tell him.
If being nice is what wimp is I wouldnt mind. Why is it okay if guys do that? Go to your friends house be like hey im gonna stay here cus I ran away, and thats okay even if dont ask, He was just being the same to Blossom. He was a nice decent normal guy, I dont think he deserves the dislike and hate he gets.
It didn't have anything to do with respect. I have no idea where you get that from. He was just scared that if he said the wrong thing she would leave. And who says "Why is it okay if guys do that?" Where did you get that from? And he's far from normal.
Here's an appropriate comment I found on another website: "I wouldn't recommend,all the other characters is fine but the problem is mc he's a weak simp no backbone all he does is drool over blossom."
And another one: "Blossom says that Matthew is nice, but all he does is just agreeing with Blossom, saying he's okay everytime (after being stabbed at the eye), overall just doing everything that Blossom would agree with. It doesn't feel like he's sincere..."
Oh, and a comment about what a fucking moron Blossom was: "Also blossom being so trusting of people still and believing that girl when she said sam said to meet there. Blossom knows people dont like her, no reason to not just text or call sam or matthew instead of blinding following her even down a fucking alley."

"I wonder why Blossom came to my house" doesn't last much longer as it is getting old and tiresome very quickly. It's been 5 chapters already and Matthew hasn't yet shown any redeeming qualities. Putting it simply, he's a loser, an idiot, and a pervert. Of course, there's been many a manga heroine who've fallen for worse, so it won't come as any surprise if Blossom is already (or eventually does fall) in love with Matthew.
