Hmm, I don't think so. The only plausible reason for him to disguise himself is because he wants to know each candidate more closely. If he becomes just one lady's knight, that would defeat the purpose and would definitely be biased against the other ladies.
See that’s what I thought as well, however, you know how she was saying she’s been to the castle before but doesn’t remember anything after she went outside, maybe she met him there so he was already bias and wanted to spend some time with the presumably ‘sweet’ girl he once met, while believing that his emotions don’t matter as the ring will choose regardless so it’s fine if he’s bias
