I have just noticed that the author gave each one of these characters a profession that matched, complimented or defined their personalities or traits very well.
Joowon: A celebrity ( and all the sense of superiority that comes with it)
- Spoiled kid, used to get what he wants and so he can't understand when someone refuses him. - A sense of entitlement and privilege, that he is special, on top of the chain, the predator - Thinks highly of himself, think that others love him, thinks of himself irresistible. - A self centered personality that explains why he can't see or sense Haesoo visible annoyance to what he thinks is charming and playful.
Taku : A photographer ( that can't see faces) - Someone who looks at other people and everything else like subject of a picture - The stares, the directness, the matter of fact attitude as someone who knows people image is usually a lie of how they really are. - The distant and bored attitude of someone who has seen everything and thinks they are all the same after the first impression that they are unique.
Haesoo : A writer (with a problem to express himself vocally) - Self introspect, bottling up resentments and unable to speak up his thoughts - Stuck in a arid life and relationship but creates stories that fascinates others. - Grew up repressed, dominated and unsatisfied and turn to a profession that allowed him to escape that without having to confront reality.
Maybe I am analyzing too much but I think their professions are not coincidence or random for the type of personality the author gave to them.
