The son is not destructive to his lover or sadistic in his off-kilter revenge. Rogi has issues. I feel sorry for him in part, and really want to slap the shit out of him in part. Ane is right. He's like this effed up kid that you kinda wanna punch and kinda wanna look after. But I can't forgive what he did to Ane's son after he caused Ane so much distress.
My comment is not about Rogi! I mean future-Tatsuyuki and his father Akitora.
They are carefree, they're not really suited for the life as yakuza. Tatsuyuki doesn't even want to be in this kind of industry. They just want to enjoy their lives with the ones they love. Just like Ane said, Akitora is an Outlaw and his son is just the same. When I realized all of this after reading the current chapter it made me grin from one ear to the other one.
Yes, Akitora is cruel to his wife and he revenged Rogi by beating a man to death in a bathroom. His son isn't to that degree. He wouldn't do the cruel thing of expecting his partner to take in a lover and tolerate a third wheel in the relationship. Rogi and Akitora are very alike....out of control and selfish.
Although Rogi has this odd little caring/noble side, too...likely moreso than Tora in his younger days. He's pretty vicious in the present story.
