Yap, you're right. What I only pointed out was I feel her confusion since she has her own mental images of the people around her that were laid out by the novel. Ofcourse, her feelings would change as she dwell more in that world and realized that it is no longer a novel it's where she lives now, and as she know better those people that, for her, used to be only characters.
I somehow understand Canaria... It was like, lets say I was transported in the world of Avengers and I am so shipping Tony and Pepper but then Tony fell in love with me. I would feel guilty that I took Tony away from Pepper and I ruined my own ship.. And I would hardly believe it because Tony and Pepper are meant for each other.
As much as Aladdin is for Jasmine
Shinichi is for Ran
Jack is for Rose
Romeo is for Juliet...
And when she knew that Caesar loves her.. It will be awkward since she saw how Caesar grew up.. He's like a little brother to her. Yes they are about the same age physically but mentally Canaria was much more older when Caesar was still very young. It's like you see a little boy grew up and suddenly he's in love with you.
