Maybe youre right. Maybe authors write these kinds of stories is bc the 'majority' tend to like it. I personally like this not in the sense of loving and appreciating abuse itself, but i just simply find it intriguing or interesting in a way. I just came here for the alpha x alpha tag tbh.
