thank you so much! That name popped up when I was translating this but I thought it was a typo. Whenever Gin references the "Animal Kingdom" it's actually supposed to be "Mutsugoro Animal Kingdom".

if ur wondering why gin laughed after hearing the name 'ase gorou' its bc it reminded him of mutsugorō/mutsugorou. mutsugorō is a pen name of masanori hata, a japanese zoologist, filmmaker, and writer. his well known film is "the adventures of milo and otis" (if ur familiar with that) he also founded mutsugorō animal kingdom where he documented his life with the animals and the staff.
so the part where gin imagined ase (glasses san) where he was surrounded by animals is the pun for mutsugorō animal kingdom lol
(also supernatural and the name gin,, *coughs* brings back bitter memories *coughs*)
