My favorite are French Vanilla and Rose Congou. Oh and also Lapsang Souchong. It has a Smokey taste that I think goes really well with sugar and cream or milk. I like my tea sweet. If you're using bagged black tea, never let it seep for longer than 5 minutes. If you want it strong use more than one tea bag but if it seeps more than 5 minutes the tannins get released and the tea taste bitter in a weird way. Unless you like that. For green teas the water shouldn't be hotter than between 170-180 F. Since you probably don't have a candy thermometer lying around just let it cool for a couple of minutes in the cup or teapot. For loose tea I found this really good site.

I lived in Montana until last year when I moved back to California so I got my tea from the Montana Tea and Spice Company. I suppose I still could since they ship but it seems better to find somewhere more local. Ah, what a long post. Shutting up now.

Though actually my motives for learning about tea weren't all that pure. In the early 90's there was a Starbucks on every corner and there were now all these coffee snobs, which I can't drink (makes me sick) to go along with wine snobs (also makes me sick). I got jealous and started learning about tea. After all it's hard to be too snobbish about soda. (⌒▽⌒)
I was searching my tea cabinet to see what tea I could make cause my Blackberry Vanilla tea ran out and a I saw nice color tea box thing so I pick it up and I read it and "Horny Goat Weed"
No thanks
