I agree, all the harem aspects in these isekai only serve as filler. We end up waiting even longer for the story. At least make the female characters interesting. This first one looks like she'll be the cookie cutter childish whiner baby.
I totally agree, this one seems boring as fuck and I'm afraid that more of her kind will show up...
The girl is supposed to be an adventurer/mercenary who he hired to guard him right? So why is my first impression of her dead weight. A useless crybaby there to make the guy look good? Take note this is my first impression, but it really doesn't change the fact that I lost interest when I saw the girl.
Girls can be awesome fantastic characters but in my experience, these types of mangas almost always never fail to deliver. What I usually see is harem cannon fodder. Still I read them in hope of the rare treasure but so far, this one is not looking promising already and that's without me getting into the problems with the guy.
This is my whole point precisely. My first view of the girl is that she won't be interesting.
He is talking about is not because she is a girl... is that she looks like the tipical harem stupid girl without personality nor brains that is only there for fan service and to be in heat all the time trying to have sex with the MC to boost his ego!!!
Harem is getting old... a cheap way to get male readers and many times bordeling pedophilia (or being pedophilia)!!!
I only know a few harems that are good, half of the reverse-harem that many times are better than the harem, but 90% of the harem is the same thing, girls 24/7 in heat, many times brainless trying to have sex with the MC and seeing him as almost a God and yada yada yada!!!
I have abandoned several mangas because harem and fan service and I begining to wonder if mangakas know how to make a manga without them!!!
And sadly, reverse-harem is begining to getting old too... we can see a big lack of imagination there too!!!
Honestly, same! Harem is getting so boring nowadays.
When the girls come into the storyline, they are always dumb and weak. And are always like "Huh!? He is so nice to me... Is-is this.. Love?! GiVE ME YOUR BABIES MC-SAMAAA"
I have stop reading mangas with good storyline because of it, the girls just takes up the space to continue the good story.
It will be different tho if it was just ONE girl, and that she was strong and intelligent and not dumb and delusional.
I would seriously like to see their relationship evolving slowly but that the main storyline continues to be the main.
But the worse are those stories that we can see that originally were not harem but they change it to harem!!! There is one usekai I like a lot, he had two female friends as companions and the tomboy began to fall in love with him and we can see he began to be interested on her, the other girl said she was a little curious and interested about him but she decided to back off because her friend, the tomboy, was in love with him and he was answering her feeling and also because she was only a little interested...
So... they decided to change it to harem, he became engaged with another girl so the tomboy, changing her personality, decided to become his concubine and the other girl decided to do the same... and those two became girls in heat trying to be with him even trying a threesome... their personalities changed drastically and even they deleted their original personalities... I was annoyed!!!
And it is not the first time I have seen this!!!
I liked that isekai... I abandonned it when they changed the girls personalities for the sake of harem!!!
It was sort of interesting... until the girl showed up. （￣へ￣ )
