I think some people that pity haesoo have read the raw chapters or saw the summary on ig. I am one of those and that's a big reason why I side with haesoo so heavy.

True. I've started pitying him ever since I read the raw scan of this chapter. Like, that's really effed up and bordering on sexual assault.
so i completely agree with the fact that joowon shouldn't be pitied. he's a self-entitled asshole and completely takes haesoo for granted.
however, i don't think haesoo is deserving of so much pity either, at least not yet.
like joowon said: "this is how we've always been." although this can definitely be an indicator of joowon's carelessness and ignorance when it comes to how he treats haesoo, i think it also means exactly what it says: joowon was slightly unaware. he may have known that he wasn't treating haesoo the way one should in a normal relationship; however, they weren't in a normal relationship. plus, haesoo had genuinely shown signs of enjoying their fucked up relationship in the past.
so i say: good on haesoo for finally realizing what he wants in a guy! and realizing that his relationship with joowon is NOT his only option and that there are better things out there.
and if joowon continues to attempt to dominate and control haesoo, THEN joowon is TRULY, 100% in the wrong. and haesoo deserves the pity. however, right now, i don't think its completely fair to say joowon is the only bad guy here.
