Asking questions is to seek knowledge, never ignorance. So don't say that about yourself :) There are Amish in 28 US states and there is a community in Ontario Canada. (I think the Pennsylvania Amish are probably the best known, and where this chapter takes place.) And you are right, they are Mennonites, a branch of the Protestant church.
Thanks for the answer ;)!
I didn't mean to sound self-deprecating.
I was trying in my own special way to not sound like I was coming from a judgmental place ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
I didn't mean to say that I or the question being asked were ignorant, I meant that I was ignorant on the subject, because it was the first time hearing about Amish ahaha.
Wow this manga makes me think a lot. To be true I never heard of Amish before, but from what I see they are such an interesting community. I don't criticize their ideals, every society has it's rules and it's limits, no doubt about that.
I only hope that Theo and Oz will end up together!!!
A few questions (forgive my ignorance): How common are they in the USA? And of course they are christian on the Protestant side no? I don't think they are on the catholic side, watching their culture. Maybe I am wrong though, catholics in America have different social believes compared to catholics in Italy. Sorry If I sound dumb ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
