After reading some comments I really have to say that I am disappointed in some ppl in the comment section...
Of course we all agree that the whole “you were raped by your bf, but you’re still ok with it” plot is pretty unrealistic. Irl it would leave a straight guy with mental issues and disgust while it would be less painful to process for the gay guy who HAS feelings for the rapist (in some cases he would end up as bad as the straight guy).
BUT! I absolutely DON’T support the ppl out there who are blaming the author or rape yaoi itself!
First of all, the author has complete right to draw what she wants. Her comics are in the 18+ section not just for show. She expects her readers to be this mature that they know where their limits to some topics are and she is pretty aware that rape is a no-go, I’m sure of that. It isn’t her job to educate you guys on what is right/wrong, if you read it it’s expected of you to know what’s about to come/have an own standing ground. So that’s why there are this nice texts before you start reading a manga called “summaries”, they there for you to inform yourself on what’s to come. And I’m pretty sure that some of you will counter me here and say: “But how are we supposed to know that it would end that way.” The answer is simple. You DON’T, BUT by reading that rape is involved and you know that you’re easily triggered by it, just go on and don’t read it instead of reading it and then insulting the whole book.
Second, I’m pretty sure that some of you are Harada fans (or at least have read some of her works) and I know damn well that she isn’t getting as much hate as this work did and trust me if I say this, but Harada’s stories are more messed up than that one. To put it simply, this work was a lollipop compared to Harada’s! So please don’t go around hating on this whole work, just bc you didn’t like a component of it, instead try to find positive as well as negative points, which you came across, for yourself and then write a comment in which you consider both sides (good/bad).
Finally I’d like to say that I myself don’t support rape (bc that’s just common sense?), but I’ve seen a lot of ppl always complaining about the rape stories while wildly accusing the author of supporting it and what not. So I just wanted to state my opinion and hope that I haven’t triggered anyone (or added further salt into the wound)
Thank you for reading (︶︿︶)
guess we're just gonna ignore that he drugged and raped him ? If this was a woman instead of a dude, y'all would be in an uproar, but since it's a hot dude, y'all don't give a shit huh
