No. You're ignoring the real problem. Read above. Tyranny of the majority is not automatically right because it was used in the past or because it harms other marginalized groups unintentionally. Apparently you don't understand that by this logic you're saying misogyny was okay when people were abolishing slavery. T.
I based my comment on the story and not in actual facts. I will not say that that the first things wrong is that theres is some kind of monarchy/dictatorship on the goings because I have acknowledged the setting in this story. The guy killed the previous rulers for the people, who were starving under that regime in order to end the tyranny, where they were disregarding the poor and celebrating the rich. Dude, misogyny? (is this because of why I say it was kinda okay for the MC to die?) I don't care which sex a person is, and if the MC was a sexless alien it would still lead me to the same conclusion. The point is that, the death of one person brings relief to those who have been oppressed and mistreated by a specific person or in this case, a specific family, with disregard of their sex.
Btw, did you know that when women got the right to vote, the last ones to get it were native americans. Also, when they signed the declaration of independence they completely ignored women. The thing with women in history is that they were completely ignored as a person and taken as property of men because they weren't "as intelligent or capable as men" which is complete bullshit. Correct me if I am wrong but, didn't the abolishment of slavery also freed women?. I apologize if I don't make sense, I just woke up.
i was reading some the comments and things are really mixed about wanting them together and not, and the novel spoilers.. To be honest, I don´t mind if of they end up together. Yeah, he killed her and that is awful. He also gave her an option to live and she didn't take it, even if she wasn't in her right state of mind it was her choice to die for the crimes of her family, and to somehow ease her guilt. To all of you guys who don't like the ML. I understand how fucked up it was for him to kill her, someone that, honestly, looks like he likes in some degree but, once again he gave her an out, and it kinda was for the "better good", to help the people. She would have been living with the guilt like she is now, the only difference is that people would know what her family did, and she would have to live being mistreated and killed by some random person in retribution. her death gave people closure of the death of family, of their suffering, it is something that in some fucked up way got them to feel at ease and hope for better days because the stain in their lives had been cleaned, it gave them hope for the future. If the ML really loved her, it was fucked up, but in a way it was something that had to be done, and it shows his resolve as a leader to be willing to sacrifice everything for the better of his people and the future. I am too selfish to give up on the things I love for the sake of others, and it was painful to know that he had to sacrifice someone he held dear for others. Reading the spoilers in the comments just made it more painful. I know it is fiction but, honestly, how many of you guys are seeing what happened and are just ignoring why it had to be done?
