Of course he was upset when the MC was originally chosen as a pitcher! It was the position he wanted to play, anyone would be upset! It would be weirder if he was happy that he lost. This is especially the case since he was ignored and underestimated, and a single pitch wasn’t enough to showcase his skill as a pitcher, since his best skill is his control. And control is something you only get with practice. The MC also always gets unbelievably upset whenever Sora upstages him, which is something you conveniently ignored. Plus, when there is a winner, there will be a loser. It isn’t the winner’s responsibility to care about the loser’s feelings. And in this case, it was much less of Sora not caring about the MC’s feelings, but was instead just happy that he got the position he wanted. In fact, Sora is shown throughout the series as being super caring and always supportive of the MC, including giving him a pep talk when he was down. Furthermore, when the MC was first chosen to be a pitcher as well, he literally looked down on Sora and said in his mind that like he was ABOVE him. And he was happy that Sora was sad... So what’s with this double standard?
I'm glad that i'm not the only one didn't like Sora.. He had this vibe "I'm better than you" .. When the first time MC chosen as a pitcher you can see his bitter face that "I can't accept this!" And what's more he's not even sorry that he kinda make MC miserable(?) It's like he's playing with MC's feeling ( ̄へ ̄)
