this made me tear up a little. i remember back then in high school my family always expected me to be in top 5 and even if i know i did really well they'd still say "why aren't you number one?" or some shit like that and it really fucked me up when my name wasn't included in the honors list one time i cried for like two days cos i can tell my family's super disappointed lol point is, parents should be more accepting and considerate of their children and be cautious of how they speak to them. discipline is okay but making their child feel bad for their achievements that aren't to their expectations, that's just wrong. they don't know the impact it has on their child

    Same. Lol. Asian tiger relatives. Good thing my dad was kinda chill so it balanced things out.
