Sure did. He shoulda just kept his mouth shut but, besides being a limp dick, he's also too stupid to realize how overly praising the wife's friend would affect his wife. He went way overboard with the praise and if his wife did the same with one of his friends he would probably get even more upset than she did since he's such an insecure and extraordinarily incompetent husband.
I laugh at all the negatives I got for my previous comment. Y'all must be virgin preteens with no real life experience and especially never have had the experience of having a romantic relationship where you cherish your significant other.
Hey @FredFrindly im a young woman who as enough real life experience and a long life romantic relationship to say that he's a sweet and caring Character, who caresfor his wife. Has his faults and understands his wrong doing. I believe that everyone sees things differently and that's ok but please stop complaining about a Character just because you see things differently. I think your the immature one who doesn't knows how life really is. You can love your partner but you can't do everything right thats not possible. Because your human to and human do things wrong. The manga wouldn't e interesting if he was the perfect guy. Cherishing our partner doesn't means you agree on everything d everything s perfect. It means you love your significant other because of His wrongs (and good points) and learn to love his things. The others and I can't say your wrong, it's your opinion. But your reaction tlls me you don't know ich either. Don't act like you know everything. If you are stuck up that your right do so but accept oter opinions too.

So, like so many other posters, if you don't like someone else's opinion which does not align with yours, you want them to shut up and keep those opinions to themselves? You also like to ASSUME you know what other people think and what their life is like. Being a very old man, I'd bet dollars to doughnuts that I have many decades more life experience than you, so give it a rest young miss.
Being a "sweet and caring Character" does not exclude the possibility (and in this case, actuality) that a husband is an insensitive, indelicate jerk who says things that hurt his wife's feelings.
The husband really is an insensitive, indelicate jerk (as well as a limp dick). Complimenting the wife's friend and at the same time insulting his wife is just not the way to keep a marriage together. It's also a sure way to make his wife seek the comfort of compliments from other men. If he remains a virgin until the day he dies it'll be his own fault.
