Probably. I remember that the 3(?) branches of knights are all loyally and politically affiliated to different branches as well. Julius loyalty are for the emperor, and holy knights loyalty lies for the church. That could be it.

I think there is bigger plot to unfold, and of course my FLUFFY BOY JULIUS is a doggo in a human body, he acts so docile and meek towards the girl the funny thing is they keep sharing one plate together and constantly feeding each other with the same utensils. Reading the raws Julius really become depended on her and i assumed even admitted attacement or fondness. Chapter 48ish they finally meet the priest and the priest upon meeting her instantly recognizes the soul of Sir Roel and hug her lovingly, Julius grew alarmed and even physically hold her from behind to distance her and the priest from each other (he grew quite territorial). What i kind of not understand is that when the Priest told Julius that the soul of Sir Roel is inside of his fiance, Julius lool shocked and storm off the room in disbelief, he looked really hurt. Its not the kind of "So you are a boy ? And not a girl ?" there is something even shadier than that :( i can't read korean
