"Time apart will tell if it is real love or just passion fueled by circumstances" This is what I thought as well. At first I was really bothered by their separation but then I realized a separation is precisely what they need to take a step back and assess the nature of their relationship. After Yanek's death, Diesel has only ever had Ein so it's unclear (to both parties) whether Diesel stayed with Ein because he loved him or simply because he had nowhere else to go. Now Diesel is no longer alone - he has friends, he can explore the outside world and meet new people, he's no longer dependent on Ein for survival - he has the chance to find out whether he truly loves Ein or not. He needs time away from Ein to come to the realization that he wants to be with Ein because he loves him, not because he needs to.

Yes, my thoughts exactly. Some get kind of defensive about my outlook on Diesel. They are quick to defend him. I like him very much but we haven't seen enough from his perspective to know if he truly loves Ein. The author has demonstrated how far Ein will go for Diesel. Pretty much would have died for him. Believe he would do the same for him again without a second thought. The author even went far enough to have Diesel state Yanek was his everything. He would have died for him even if Yanek didn't love him because it is better to die for him, than to die alone and lost in the streets. That right there, tells us a lot about Diesel's state of mind and feelings for sure at that time. Ein was his only choice then to survive without being alone. I need to see more from him to know he truly loves Ein for real in this moment. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
what can I say? Ein and Diesel's relationship is so bittersweet. I want something better for both and to be happy but at the same time believe they need to seperate. Their relationship was built in passion, loneliness, lies, death and betrayal. Time apart will tell if it is real love or just passion fueled by circumstances. I don't like that Ein has to deal with danger on his own. He resonates with me. His character seems to be sad yet strong. A loner because life dictates such. Always willing to risk his life for others with little thought to himself. At least Diesel has Bexan and will have security detail. Tbh, I would like the main focus to shift back to Bexan and Minsuk. I want for Bexan to mature a bit more. He is such a hottie. (▰˘◡˘▰)
