He's a jerk. She's stupid for continuing to pine for a jerk.

Even so it's really hard when you're fully in love with someone. You know they are a jerk, an asshole, a scumbag and so on but for some reason no matter how much you distance and so you still feel this craving to be with them. It's like a drug. Seeing the comments here shows that people have never experienced it and I'm sure people will one day. She's in pain but she's still hooked. It's really hard, especially when you meet them everyday

And I expect we're gonna see him change and her change--or that would be a pointless story. We're seeing some of why he's the way he is, but it does NOT excuse it. He's jerky cause he chooses to be (though having backstory helps a lot with hating him, as it usually does with jerk characters.)

Thought that's why I'm sympathetic to her cuz it's not easy and she's probably gonna learn that's she's better than this, but that's why I'm not so hard on her cuz we have all made those mistakes. Calm down, you don't need to sound so hateful and push your view on everyone. Not everyone sees things negatively like yours. Some people just like to understand why a person act the way they are. It doesn't mean they want to find an excuse for their wrongdoings.
