I honestly don't understand this dislike for a romantic subplot in a shounen manga
if the author is good then they should be more than capable of writing romance while keeping the action interesting.
and we've already established that this is an amazing mangaka so what's the big deal.
btw, I've read my fair share of HORRIBLY done forced romance in shounen **cough cough BLEACH cough** BUT I've also read shounen with great romantic subplots:
Feng Shen Ji, Shen Yin Wang Zuo, Until Death Do Us Part (creepy but still good), Dead Days (even creepier but still good), Feng Shen Ji, Dance in the Vampire Bund, Btooom!, Marry Grave ╥﹏╥, Feng Shen Ji (i <3 Feng Shen Ji)
i could go on for days!
check out these mangas if you still think romantic subplot is "uncool"
1. The story will not focus on romance. Heck even jinwoo and haein aren't focused on each other
2. It's not unnecessary
3. It won't ruin the story, if that's what you're worried about.
The female character was just introduced a few chapters ago and you guys are already jumping to conclusions. Just scroll down the comments and you can find topics talking about how this "romance subplot" is not even considered a problem to novel readers *sighs*
This is so perfect but with all the new female character introductions I can only hope and pray that we don’t get a romantic subplot. It’s so hard finding a good action/fantasy story without unnecessary romance ruining it
