Wow, I'm actually surprised the grandson of the chieftain knows how to be humble, and accept other's help. I thought he'd just be another egotistical character who thought he was the end all be all of the world. It's nice that a lot of these characters have more depth to them, and aren't two-dimensional.
Except he especifically said that if it was for the good of his people, he'd bow down to others. So it wasn't a selfish reason like to preserve himself, but it was for the well being of everyone. Which is different from his previous attitude.
