That's so true. Also, there is a huge difference between liking a fictional character as a "character" and as a " potential person". For me, I like Seju as a character, because she's complex, has different layers to her personality, is very flawed while at the same time being aware of said flaws and personally I have a soft spot for characters that, like her, seem to be tormented and go through mental struggles, but still in a pretty realistic way. Just something about seeing her trying and desperately sacrificing so much while receiving nothing in return breaks my heart. But I also know that if she was a real person, I wouldn't like her, or at least not as much as I like her as a character, because possessive and overly jealous people creep the heck out of me, even if I understand where these traits come from in Seju's case.

I don't think that Seju is the only well-developed character, because Sumin is also complex and changes a lot through the story, especially after you read Paradise or notice how she behaves in flashbacks with her and Seju in a main story versus how she acts during these ten years of being exes with benefits with her.
But yes, Seju is someone who, in my opinion, definitely (just like you said) gives life to this story, although I would't necessary say that if it wasn't for her, this comic would just be full of horny chicks. Although I would say that without her this story would be boring, because to me Sungji was never developed enough and came across as flat in comparison to Seju and Sumin
But yeah, just because Seju is pretty it doesn't mean that people like her character only for her looks and excuse her actions because of that. After all, her appearance has nothing to do with the story and I doubt that Sumin was with Seju for ages just because of her looks

Which assholes you are talking about? As someone pointed out in some comment, we like Seju as a character nothing else and nothing more. I like her as well as Sumin, Sungji, Nami & all the secondary characters. I didn't like Seju's family but I think those characters weren't created to be loved by the majority.
