Why did turning into a monster change Chika's personality that much? (Unless it's actually part of her original personality but it's doesn't seem that way)

I feel that it would be more interesting if the author retained Chika's original personality instead of turning her into this cliche blood-thirsting psycho that you can find on almost every thriller manga. Her kindness and empathy was what makes her stood out from all the killing mess but now everything's just bland...

    Most likely Hirota trying to kill her was traumatic. And Miwaka probably hypnotized her since she does have some control over her from her blood.
