I can already tell that the people who disliked ur comment for some goddamn reason have some sort of unique mentality most of us people cannot understand. I agree, idk y people hate a female rival in a bl so much, its not a great plot device but it isnt like the characters (most of the time) themselves are badly designed.
I agree that the idea of a girl always being a rival is getting old and ridiculous. However it is realistic that a girl likes a populair guy, but the girls are just portrayed as crazy for some reason. But I don't agree with comparing Hoyoung to her, because she's a rando who won't give up on a guy who she doesn't even know and is kinda stalking. Hoyoung is Beoms best friend for years, so his shitty behaviour even if its shitty, is still kinda realistic cause friends can be mean to each other. Where is she being slutshamed tho? I've read tons of BLs with girl rivals and none of them I saw were slutshamed (⊙…⊙ ) just seen as crazy people, just wondering where the slut shaming is Σ(っ°Д °;)っ
I don't like when they use a girl as a "rival" especially in BL since people always get aggressive with them and start to slut shame them...Even though they shouldn't especially since she has no chance of making Beom like her and she wasn't shown being a slut? ... In a way isn't she what's going to make your ship get together? In the end I just really hate this plot device since it just kinda makes the rival look like a total douche, but they usually aren't...though her finding out that Hoyoung was Beom's crush and asking him to help her is kinda a douche move. She isn't exempt from being a "bitch" but Hoyoung was also being pretty gosh dang rude..
Though tbh they might end up dating, but he's not gonna be in love with her...he's most likely going to date her if Hoyoung ends up helping her, and then Hoyoung is going to get jealous of her.. he might also end up getting angry at beom? He'll definitely get jealous and either avoid Beom or Beom will hang out more with his "girlfriend" and thus make him feel lonely which in turn makes him find out his feelings.
