I think it might be a bit of both, like he doesnt want to have feelings for him but he remembers the times ayame was kind and he finds himself attracted to him (and his pheromones i guess, i keep forgetting this is an omegaverse) and on ayame's part it seems like he thinks much higher of shuu than he lets on
When Ayame talks about “his hell” is he talking about the feelings of unrequited love or the bullying?
