If Sangwoo had died by fire explosion, it was more acceptable than dying by a lame pillow, helplessly.

That's what I had thought too, but thinking on it a bit more, there's more meaning to it. It's the same way his mother had tried killing him when he was a child. I kind of think that when he was suffocated, it may have brought him back to that time, which would cause a large amount of stress, helplessness, and fear. That's exactly what his mom wanted. Plus, if he did die in the fire, we wouldn't have it as to were he was calling for Bum in his hospital bed every night. It showed that he did die the most painful death: alone, scared, and helpless. His mother got what she wanted.

I don’t think he’s dead, the police officer had no severe burn, so why should sang-woo

Ah really? The burns when he was pulled out seemed pretty severe since he was in there longer than the officer. Plus his ashes and the old lady admitting to killing him. What do you think happened to Sangwoo?
What if it's all a conspiracy and the police made it seem like Sangwoo was dead to stop the protests. XDD what a twist

Maybe this old woman had dementia and couldn't reason with Sangwoo's contiguous shot for Bum and instead of helping him, thought just making Sangwoo quiet is a better option. but I didn't get your reasoning with his mother's hella sick action "His mother got what she wanted."

Your explanation is legit, just wondering how you can call another killer respectfully, we aren't in a courtroom.

They would have have police at his door, so no one would enter.

When she died she told Sangwoo along the lines he would die the most painful death (what she wanted happened). He was burned up on most of his body then suffocated while calling out for the only person he cared about. Hope that clears it up :)

I think it's more based off the human mentality. We're quick to judge and call people guilty without even having trial and sometimes even evidence. You can see it with a lot of court cases.
