“What a shame for you that I crashed your plans.”
“And how! Your subordinates really seem to respect you a lot.” Mikhail did not make any effort at all to hide that Yan Tsui had only found out so quickly that Feilong was in Taiwan due to his help – he had intended from the start to make Yan Tsui do his bidding by means of drugs to then throw him away. This shamelessness astonished Feilong instead of shocking him.
One has to be wary of him… he thought. Maybe it had been Mikhail’s plan to undermine Feilong, or he had meant to capitalize on the disturbances to implement another villainous scheme. However it was construed, what was clear was that he had abused Feilong’s brother for it; Yan Tsui was Mikhail’s victim and left a deep wound in Feilong’s and Tao’s hearts. The price they had been forced to pay was so high that anger arose inside Feilong again.
“Someday you will regret this, Mikhail!”
“We’ll see! Your dear brother was an eyesore to you anyway, so it was just the right thing that you got a reason to eliminate him, wasn’t it?”
I did not read the novel in question just summations, but if Feilong would know some one like Mikhail Yan could have known some one with a similar background also? The Russian name meant some thing to Feilong maybe having some direct connection to Mikhail and that is why he would come to the conclusion. If the rebels were here they would be acting as hired guns .
I found a translation of this story. It was translated from German so may not have some of the same context as what is in other translations. http://feishuanghua.tumblr.com/post/137186436357/stigma-in-the-finder-i-finder-no-rakuin/amp
Also, watch for the 'next chapter' link at the bottom, I missed it the first time.
Thanks to all of you. I read that translation too but it seems to me now that many things are written from Feilong's point if view. What if it wasn't Mikhail supporting his sick brother Yan? Maybe Mikhail knew what was going on because he has always an eye on Baishe but he didn't back up Yan or tell him something about Fei going to Taiwan. It seems for me a bit off that Feilong thinking Mikhail was capable of such things he decided to go to his bedroom alone without any kind of gun or at least a bug or device (maybe the iphone?) to protect himself just in case.
For me something happened in the middle between the events in FnR and the point the story is now that might have changed everything and makes it really difficult to make predictions.
What a min. Mikhail has ties to the Taiwan Mafia it says so in the story which would allow him to keep tabs on Feilong. Mikhail wanted Yan to control Hong Kong
wow. Feilong and Asami don't play. Feilong killed Chow right in front of Asami. which led to the Hong Kong mess. All about that disc. Could not figure out how chow played into things until I read that part. Thanks for posting this. It is clear what Mikhail wanted. He makes it known on that last page.
Tao's age according to Yoh is 13 or 15 here so it was not so off that he wound up giving commands in the last chapter. It will be interesting if this becomes his origin story in the future.
Meh. Mikhail didn't deny anything when Feilong questioned him, so all this shows is that Mikhail likes to play both sides. In business and in bed. If Feilong doesn't get it by now and expects Mikhail to behave honourably, that's on Feilong.
Early in the second chapter it's spelled out pretty clearly that Mikhail and his mafia are involved. And Mikhail's own words in his ending conversation with Feilong pretty much confirm it since he knew what happened. While it's hard to read the fine print in the post-script by YA does indicate that it's supposed to be from Feilong's point of view. To me the most likely development from the time the light novel was written to now, is that Mikhail's mafia and the rebels are either in cahoots or are one and the same.
A "growing" Tao would be a good way to bring in all that you 2 have posted about as story points. It would expand the story for all the characters.
You mean that Mikhail did it as a favor for Feilong? Some favor seeing how Feilong nearly got raped, had to blow Yan, Tao nearly got killed, Yoh nearly got killed, everyone terrorized. If Mikhail wanted Feilong to have control of Baishe, why didn't he just have Yan killed? Why put Feilong through all of that? That's pretty assy.
No one knew in advance about the presence of Tao in Taiwan. The boy went after Feilong in secret.
Feilong fell into the trap and had to endure the harassment of Yantsui, because Tao was taken hostage. And Yoh was injured helping them.
Mikhaill could not predict these events.
Initially in Taiwan, Feilong just wanted to hire Yoh to kill Yantsui.
People on this board , I have a question:
I read Fei's lightnovel while ago and there's something I don't remember so well. Fei assumed it was Mikhail backing up his brother, but is there a moment when his brother or someone else tells exactly that? I remember Fei saw all those cases with the printed letters of Vladivostok, he always assumed there was Mikhail behind but at this point I have reasonable doubts. Maybe it was the rebels helping Yan and not Mikhail and his men. What do you think?
I allowed anonymous replies but I don't know if it works.
