With all due respect, this story was about an obsessed stalker (to the point he broke into his target’s house)... and a crazed serial killer who:
1. broke both Bum’s legs, keeping him prisoner (remember Bum desperately trying to escape?) while physically and mentally torturing him
2. was still actively wanting/trying to kill indiscriminately (young, old, male, female) even at the end, no matter what Bum said or did.
The vast majority of their sexual activity was done by Sangwoo to control, manipulate, or to mentally torture Bum. Bum delusionally romanticized it in his head.
There’s no chance a viable relationship can be sustained under all those circumstances. Bum didn’t have the stomach for committing the sadistic acts that Sangwoo *demanded* he do. Even if he DID manage to change and become a sadistic killer, it still wouldn’t have worked out because Sangwoo’s main attraction to Bum was the very fact that he was weak and powerless. Any indication of Bum showing strength in ANY form, triggered Sangwoo psychologically.
It was never going to end well.
Yaah figured that out but then hopefully there wondering souls can be reborn without the psychological shit that happened between both of them and they can find happiness because according to koogi's notes sangwoo did love bum in the end it's messed up indeed but hopefully then they can have their happy ending and maybe reborn in an omegaverse world while we are at it..
You of course make a sold point but till the end I still pity sangwoo he has been through a lot and till the end he was a child that was abused physical and mentally by the people he should have supported him early on No wonder he became a killer
PS not that I am justifying his actions I just understand where he is coming from that as a broken person he disserve a happy ending but he is too broken to be fixed and bum is too week and passive it didn't work out so thats why I say may they be reborn in favourable conditions where they can be a normal happy couple..
Both of them had similar horrific pasts, where they were subjected to physical, mental, and sexual child abuse, and yet each of them turned out vastly different. I don't know if this has ever been pointed out.
The difference is that Sangwoo managed to kill his tormentor, while Bum submitted to his. I wonder how the story would've played out had this been reversed, causing Sangwoo to become the lovesick timid stalker and Bum the sociopathic killer?
First let me tell you this the author themselves from the notes that was posted in Lezhin states they felt better sweet it didn't feel right to end the story this way so let me tell you what should have happened first of all sangwoo was damaged a lot in his life he had the right to have a happy ending with bum and yes indeed he should have bum gift to him was the a Ring and if he had given it to him I think he would have in return dealt with his to turoma about his mother so let me basically and simply tell you this Bum should have killed the policeman and then he tried to convince sangwoo and cover up their crimes that's the most logical way that it should have been and then they would have an emotional breakdown with where both of them try to shout everything out and bum will give him the gift either in that moment or after sangwoo have calmed down and then they would continue w their life together as long as they didn't comprehend with other people no problems would occur haveing a caring relationship after sangwoo becomes peaceful with himself and trust that bum will never leave him so basically the ring is the key to their happiness it was the surprise that made sangwoo obnoxious and made him say all those sad words to bum but it should have been the moment of confrontation from bums side and the Ring that what would made sangwoo return saint again that how it should have ended should have ended..
P.S we have enough reality in real life which means this story deserves a happy ending
