FIRST OF ALL. THIS STORY IS INDESCRIBABLE (in my opinion). It is so good on so many levels that words can’t even scratch the surface. A lot of people might not agree and that’s fine, we all have our own thoughts and preferences. Second. Some people might really dislike a character while loving another. Personally, in these types of stories, I tend to love every character. It’s just hard to dislike anyone for me because they're all written so well. Even though a lot of them betrayed each other, I still end up loving all of them. Even Neena's mother; although she created a sad ending for Kasane and everyone else, I feel like she played a crucial role in the story and the overall feeling it gave. Third. I noticed a lot of people wished for Kasane to be happy. I too, love her as a character and do want her to be happy. However, I feel like this story requires a sad ending to really give the readers a lasting impression, one that screams, “remember me, I was great” or something along those lines. Often, with happy endings, I feel like the characters are not really well developed or they don’t leave as strong of an impression on the readers. So although I really love Kasane, I believe that my love for her really increased because of the ending.
I literally just finished reading and felt like I needed to express my thoughts somewhere. You don’t have to agree with me in anyway, though I would prefer that, if you do read this long-ass essay, you would keep your opinion respectful as well.
Yeah I agree, I was also hoping for a sad ending, although I wished it could’ve been a few pages longer. It really was a rollercoaster of emotions and such an amazing story!
