“That cheapened the moment. Like if he only needed him to survive to help him” - Ooh, I think it’s more realistic this way actually, because clearly back then Ein wasn’t someone important to Diesel on an emotional level, so that’s /literally/ how it is: Diesel’s top priority was getting out of this mess, and he needed Ein alive for that. The reason was very practical and not very emotional-based because Diesel hadn’t developed any feelings deeper than curiosity & sexual attraction for Ein yet. Or you can look at it another way, which I think is also possible: Diesel didn’t want to appear too sentimental for worrying about Ein so he used a rather “selfish” excuse for needing Ein to stay alive instead (“I need you to stay alive for this reason, not because I care about you or anything”).
And same, girl, same. Somehow I never got the vibes that Diesel loved Yanek ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭. I always thought it was more like deep gratitude and complete dependency on someone whom he thought was the only one cared about him, and that attachment was so strong he confused it with love.

I agree with you 100%! "Ooh, I think it’s more realistic this way actually, because clearly back then Ein wasn’t someone important to Diesel on an emotional level, so that’s /literally/ how it is:" I just don't like it 100%. I believe their relationship is going to have bumps, turns, twists and a lot of freaking boulders before they can get to the place they are now. It is plausible that he is also down playing his feelings for him too.
Yeah, he is part beast/animal. Just like in real life you tune into your baser instincts and it doesn't lead you astray, that gut feeling. Try as he might have to ignore or to down play that nagging feeling about Yanek, BOOM! Ein blew that one right up. (▰˘◡˘▰)
This proved my point poignantly. Yanek never loved Diesel. Might have cared to some degree. He was someone he could use for sex and protection. A killing exotic pet. That is all Diesel was to him. He was ready to kill him than to see his property taken away. He just didn't want to lose. Not used to losing anything. Ein took a bullet meant for Diesel even though he was already stabbed. Ein, awaiting death, told Diesel to run before the cops got there. Still protecting won he loves even at death's door. l appreciated that even in the end Diesel was trying to save both because it made it realistic, though I still say Diesel didn't love Yankek because deep down inside he knew he was just being used. You don't have to get beat and roped up to be crippled or abused. It made it believable. He was grateful to someone who saved him from terrible physical abuse. He traded types of abuses. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ I enjoyed the fight between Ein and Yanek. It looked hella smexy and deadly at the same time. ლ(´ڡ`ლ) I didn't like how Diesel at the end amid trying to keep Ein alive, told him to survive because he only has him left. That cheapened the moment. Like if he only needed him to survive to help him. ( ̄へ ̄)All in all, glad Yanek's dead. (●'◡'●)ノ I would like to see how their relationship transforms a bit because I think Ein was way more invested in Diesel back then, than Diesel in him. You don't take a bullet knowing it meant your more than likely end, for just some fuck.
