Very true. Almost every yaoi manga shows the uke as weak. Chanwoo is like a beacon of light in this mess of a cliche.
Just imagine, had Chanwoo & Jiwon been the MC by some weird stroke of misfortune, Jiwon by now would have plucked all his hair out. :D
But I absolutely love the current pair. Jiwon x DG all the way. Now waiting for next arc of Chanwoo x MD. That would be interesting too.

I think the primary reason why Chanwoo is so popular is because he's a "bottom" who's not weak-minded or docile-like in character. He's unique, not cliche. A man can choose to play the more "submissive" role in the bedroom, but that doesn't mean they're weak or pitiful in other territories of their life. I use quotations because being submissive in the bedroom doesn't really equate to the actual definition, it's just a role but anyways. He's everything I love in a bottom character, not some feeble, damsel in distress! He can stand up AND take care of himself and his personality shines through!!!! I honestly can't wait til the author reveals his backstory and more time with his MD boyfriend. (⌒▽⌒)
