i guess it's "weird" because at school people generally study or do school work and it is not common for people to have sex scenes displayed on their phone (maybe out in the open).
i wish you wouldn't have to get called out on it because you aren't really hurting anyone (right?), so maybe try to read more discreetly or in a more private place
i also do that actually, in many public places. and i guess it is weird, especially if you're reading a smutty yaoi. it's weird because it's not really the appropriate place for it, but i don't think it's anything to feel bad about. it's a different case though if you only did read yaoi in school and never paid attention to classes.
