Well, hirokishi did mentioned that the winged nomu is deku's friend.. But, to have the plot escalated this quickly. Imagine bakugo's and deku's face when they know the truth, yikes!
Lol the manga has been dark lol I realized how dark it really was when around chapter 40 I think when the Author told us the that one of izuku and katsuki's childhood friend was turned into a nomu by his grandfather(you see him in this chap) and that the flying nomu we saw in Hosu? that picked Izuku up during the hero killer chapter was the kid. And the kid recognized izuku and it was the reason he grabbed izuku. I only reconised that the author said that though after I decided to re read the whole thing to the current update

Yooooo, since when bnha has gotten this dark?!!! Omg imagine the nomu that took deku actually wanna tell him/took him somewhere coz he can identify that's deku and that nomu still hv some concious b4 stain killed him?!! ( coz, he's the kid who bullied deku along with bakugo when they were in kindergarten ) Omg omg kmg
