I think, and this is merely my own speculations after following this manhwa for years. But I think the last chapter was more of a fan-service than an actual end.
My reasoning being that it felt a little unnatural to have such a chapter after the heartbreak of losing Rai and many other beloved characters (I still feel my heart break whenever I think about it). I'm happy of course to see everyone alive and well, but it felt to me that the real ending of the story was the second to last chapter. As sad as it is, that's what the artist and writer of Noblesse said as well. (I haven't read this on mangago, instead I read it on webtoons, so I'm not sure if it's here as well but), he had said that he already knew how to end the story when he started Noblesse and this was explained after leaving such an open ending.
Then again, maybe you feel it's a better ending, or a parallel universe or something. Whatever makes you happy to read as an ending to Noblesse!
