I agree with almost all you say except I doubt his burned face has something to do with redemption being impossible like, man... even if his skin is clear and his crops are thriving, he's a serial killer psycho with no return, lol...
doe not relies that bum not mentally stable , bum already was mentally unstable when he broke in sangwoo house , so what prison do you want bum to go to he should go to mental hospital specially when he had already start cutting himself up , if sangwoo die he will keep trying to commint sucide to fullfil his promise with sangwoo , he should be mentally valued and get treatment for all the abuse he had in the hand of his uncle and calssmates and sangwoo .
as for sangwoo I hope he just die in hospital , cuz honestly him keep living with his burn face would be impossible for him to turn new leaf and redeem himself , his only cure would be death .
