So far I don't think it's abusive. The hitting occurred when they were both awkward teens and I think the uke's dependence and their feelings was sometimes too heavy for the seme. I also think he doesn't want anyone to know about their relationship. Anyway like the last panel where they talked about captivity and freedom, I think that was a comparison to their relationship. It might seem strange but he doesn't see it that way so... ╮(￣▽￣)╭
