Bad things definitely happen. The opening pages themselves tell us as much from the very start. But the original folklore also ends up as a happy ending; Cheong comes back in the end. So I still keep my fingers crossed it will happen here too. Those two deserve some freedom and happiness after the lives they've lived.
Yeah :). I really do hope they can achieve their happiness. They deserve happiness, everyone does.
And wow. I dunno what to say. It's beautiful but I might stop reading because my heart hurts for the both of them. Because if lgbtq+ is still kind of a taboo for some people I believe it was more so in the past. Where there are these rules. My heart hurts. whether Madam is really into Cheong. I mean I'm still in 35 but I'm scared that something bad will happen. I'm scared of reading the breaking of their bond. And them looking sad af. My heart won't hold out. I'm a huge fujoshi. And I really do hope this one finds a happy ever after, completely different from what I believe is their future from what is mentioned in Chap 1 and 2
