Does the seme feel any remorse at all when the uke dies?

    He's remorseful even before that. He suffers for his whole life and that's exactly what the author wanted. He doesn't even get to see uke before he days bc doctor wouldn't let him (uke doesn't want to either) so he knows uke is dying and can't even say goodbye.

    He did suffer a lot, almost to the point of obsession. Some of my friends who've already read the novel like me felt so sorry for him that they forgave him for the last part. And I do feel sorry for him as well, believe it or not, I do believe that he still loves Zhi shu, even while he was having an affair behind Zhi Shu's back. He believed that he loved himself more than anyone, but at the moment Zhi Shu ran away from home, he realized that he couldn't stand by himself if Zhi Shu wasn't there for him.

    I didn't feel sorry but I did thought that it was pointless at some point. This story was specifically designed for us to see seme suffer for being a little bitch so I felt it forced and stopped caring altogether.

    Lol I feel you, I wasn't going to read it but I even went as far as to read the novel bc I couldn't stand not knowing.
