Just a question. Why tf is gay manga divided into for men and for women? It's the same thing. Both can be tragically unrealistic, in both directions (men looking basically like some sick loli fantasy, men looking like someone stuffed to much rocks under their skin).
I have a bad day so it made me angry. I'm wondering why people do such useless thing. Why doesn't tag "buff" do the job, but you have to make some weird fission?

it just has to do with main targuets and overall popular opinion (what most girls read & what most guys read)
in the end no matter what your gender is it's somehow here to help you find what you like & want

I'm a girl but I mostly read shonens and seinens (technicaly for boys) but knowing their "title" or type helps me find what i want

I kinda get it... But it's no need for people to scream "oooh my god this is so much better than the other!!!" i see this kind of comments on almost all bara mangas i see. And, is it really it? Does this separating really work? All it has done to me is miss out. Cause there is so much to read in all these sections! I want to read all kinds of stuff. And now i have to search everything few times to make sure i don't miss anything when i want some gayness. Why complicate everything so much?

It's a different genre, like how shounen-ai is different from yaoi. One has a certain distinction from the other mainly because of the target readers as well as some people prefer reading ONLY that type of genre.

Similar with how horror has some subcategories like gore, horror, psychological, etc. Some people don't like watching the others.

No it doesn't have to do with the gender of the mangaka , It's more like yaoi targets female readers and bara male because on bara the characters are more musculine not flower boy image like in yaoi and the sex scenes in bara are way more hardcore...
